Although we’ve been eagerly looking forward to the arrival of Spring the snows unexpected arrival has awoken a childish enthusiasm in us. It beckoned us outdoors to explore. Our early start ensured that we were the first to trek a new route though the landscape, the once familiar path has been transformed overnight.  The fresh blanket of snow creates a stillness and calm. As we made our way along the river path our pace was slower than normal, as our wellied feet sank deep below the crisp white surface.
